Dr. James Lemuel Spence

Dr. James Lemuel Spence is a highly accomplished individual known across the country as a legitimate Apostolic voice. He received an interdisciplinary degree in Management, Psychology, and Communication from the University of Baltimore in 1992, followed by a Master of Divinity degree from Logos Christian College in 1996.

Driven by his thirst for knowledge, Dr. Spence earned a Doctorate in Religious Philosophy from The Tabernacle Bible Baptist School of Theology in 2001. Dr. Spence's impact extends beyond academia, as he is also a prolific author with three notable books to his name: "Groomed for Destiny," Understanding the Destiny Cut," and "Embracing the Prophetic."

These influential works delve into personal growth, destiny, and the prophetic, offering profound insights to readers seeking guidance and spiritual enlightenment. As a respected figure in the Christian community, Dr. Spence has made numerous appearances on prominent Christian television networks, including TBN, Word Network, Impact Network, and TCT Gospel Network.

Through these platforms, he has shared his wisdom, teachings, and message of hope with a vast audience, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many.  Driven by his commitment to advancing Christianity and spiritual growth, Dr. Spence founded the Word World Harvest Fellowship of Churches, serving as its Presiding Prelate.

This independent Christian reformation has flourished under his visionary leadership, expanding its influence to encompass over thirty churches and para-ministries across twelve states. The Fellowship is a testament to his unwavering dedication to fostering unity, spiritual nourishment, and transformation within the Christian community.

At the heart of Dr. Spence's ministry is his role as the founding Senior Pastor of Word Empowerment Church, also known as WeChurch. With locations in Durham, NC; Richmond, VA; and Wilson, NC, these vibrant congregations provide a welcoming space for individuals to experience spiritual empowerment, growth, and a sense of belonging.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Spence finds joy and fulfillment as a devoted husband to Lady Suzette Spence, his loving partner. Together, they have built a nurturing and supportive family environment, having six children and reveling in the joy of being grandparents to eleven cherished grandchildren.
